Lavender: From Field to Home

Rooted in Land | June 18th, 7:00 pm

Service Description

Instructor: Carrie Gilmore, Farmer & Maker Viking Girl Lavender Step into the world of lavender and experience how this beloved plant connects land, community, and everyday living. In this immersive class, we’ll explore how lavender is grown, harvested, and transformed right here in Northern Nevada—from field to the simple, intentional products we use in our homes and daily lives. Together, we’ll talk about cultivating lavender in our high desert climate, the role it plays in supporting pollinators, and how small-batch, locally made goods strengthen our connection to place. You’ll also learn approachable ways to incorporate lavender into your routines—whether for rest, grounding, or creating moments of calm in a busy life. This class is designed for those who value living close to the land, supporting local makers, and bringing intention into the everyday. Each participant will go home with a fresh lavender bundle and a package of dried lavender to use at home.
